STYLE RULES

Fashion Must Have - Jumpsuits

(OMNES, Angel Sleeve Tea Jumpsuit in Blue Daisy, £75).

Caroline MacMahon Founder of Be Almaí

How would you describe your style? As a hairdresser my daily style is definitely all about wearing anything black. For an occasion I would say I am the queen of jumpsuits, I absolutely love them and wouldn’t want to count how many I actually own.

What are your wardrobe staples that you can’t live without? I would have to say that currently I absolutely love my Spanx faux leather leggings. They are amazing quality and definitely worth spending that little bit extra on.

Do you have a favourite designer or high street brand? My absolute go to is ASOS... I won’t lie I am generally last minute when it comes to organising outfits for occasions or nights out, but I definitely have to say ASOS never disappoints. Of course with their next day delivery it always saves me just in the nick of time.

Do you have any style icons? I definitely think Instagram is extremely influential when it comes to the latest styles and top trends. When it comes to clothing I absolutely love following Carol Byrne and Rosie Connolly, both very different styles but equally as amazing. Carol showcases night out showstoppers, whilst Rosie can turn a casual look tracksuit into the latest must have trend.

Do you have a skincare regime? Yes currently I can actually say I do; however when life gets busy it is very easy to let a good routine slip. I have recently purchased a full Dermalogica skin care set; I do absolutely love their products. I have also been treating myself to a facial once a month, which I think makes a huge difference to maintaining good/clear skin, especially with my job and wearing makeup every day.

Fave haircare product -

Dr Paw Paw 7-in-1 spray, £12.99.

Go-to Makeup Product -

Bellamianta Bronzing Powder, £19.99.

Skincare Hust Have -

Dermalogica skincare (Special Cleansing Gel, £35).

What is your signature scent? I have a few favourites, but I don’t think I could go past my wedding day perfume Chanel, Chance.

Are there any haircare products you recommend? Yes with being a hairdresser I have definitely been able to trial and test a lot of hair products over the years. With having blonde hair myself I really understand the importance of using the current products for your hair needs. My current favourites are; Brazilian bond builder shampoo, reconstructor treatment and conditioner, the Dr Paw Paw 7-In-1 spray, along with the Semi di Lino Cristalli liquid.

My top 3 tips to maintaining healthy coloured hair: 1. Reduce heat styling to once a week 2. Use salon professional hair products 3. Don’t over colour- try stretching out your hair appointments an extra few weeks.

What is your go-to makeup product? My go to makeup product at the minute is the Bellamianta Bronzing powder, I use it everyday and absolutely love it.

How do you keep fit and healthy, are there any exercises or health foods your swear by? For me I always stuck by eating healthy Monday-Friday and enjoying my weekends off to eat what I like. I think everything is ok in moderation and having a good balance is key. I love Greek yogurts, fresh fruit and granola. I also drink hot lemon water in the morning and before bed. With being a hairdresser I definitely find it helps keeping me active with being on my feet all day. I think we all have a love/hate relationship when it comes to exercise, it is sometimes hard finding a good balance, but you never regret it afterwards and always feel amazing.
