As the director of the seventh Salomon Ultra-Trail Hungary, I would like to welcome you.

Please read the Race Guide carefully, as it is packed with information you will need.

The routes of the UTH races pass through the most beautiful and challenging sections of the Pilis and Visegrád Mountains. So no matter which distance you complete, you can be proud of yourself for going all the way.

We organize the race in the spirit of „leave no trace” because we believe in not leaving a mark behind and, future hikers will only learn from the news that a trail running event with over 1350 participants took place in the area.

The 2023 race brings several changes and novelties that reaffirm UTH’s leading position among domestic trail running events. Participants who complete the UTH within 15 hours will receive a medal with the engraving „SUB15” to take home. Regarding UTH and the Szentlászló Trail there will be gels available at 2 aid stations (Courtesy of Squeezy Sport Nutrition). This year the UTH events will take place on 7 different routes as we have two new race categories. Alongside the existing categories, lovers of ascents can challenge themselves in the Salomon Vertical 500 and, enthusiasts of shorter distances can try the Salomon Twin Peaks Trail. A fully stocked aid station will be available for all distances at the Skanzen (previously it was just a liquid checkpoint). So 6.5 kilometers before the finish you can have a little something to boost you towards the finish line.

I believe that UTH is not just a race but a year-long motivation for many trail runners. It is the goal they strive for, the reason they put on their running shoes even in the rain and cold and, do what they do. I hope we can meet the (very high) expectations and welcome you at the starting line next year as well!
