Fitness Assessments The Joe Doupe Recreation Centre offers healthy lifestyle and fitness assessments to complement and advise your training needs. Fitness assessments are a great way to benchmark your starting and progress points, and stay motivated on your active lifestyle journey! Personal Training We have qualified personal training staff on site to provide healthy lifestyle and fitness assessments, consultations, and personalized exercise programs. Each session is one-on-one with your personal trainer, who focuses on your needs and goals, while providing you motivation to excel. We are here to see you succeed!

Membership with Recreation Services at the Joe Doupe Recreation Centre is open to students, faculty and staff, alumni, Health Sciences Centre, DSM and CancerCare staff and the general public. Our newly refurbished fitness centre includes all new cardio and resistance training equipment by Precor. Membership Includes:

PROGRAMS New! Pilates, Yoga and Yin Yoga are now included with membership. All fitness programs can also be purchased for a spring 9 week session and summer 10 week session. Spring Programs Apr 23-June 25 (10 weeks) Summer Programs July 20-Aug 27 (9 weeks)

TRAINING & CERTIFICATIONS
First Aid & CPR Certifications The Joe Doupe Recreation Centre offers a range of courses throughout the year to meet the needs of students and staff on the Bannatyne campus. All of our courses meet the Health Care Provider (HCP) level certification and are taught by Heart and Stroke certified instructors. We work directly with the Max Rady College of Medicine, the College of Rehabilitation Sciences and the Faculty of Pharmacy to offer courses to meet the needs of their students. Available courses include Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers, Standard First Aid, Emergency First Aid, and recertification courses. These courses meet the Level C requirement. Be active all summer long! If you are a U of M student currently not enrolled in spring/summer classes, you are eligible to purchase a 4 month membership at the same rate as the Sport and Recreation Fee applied for those taking classes. To purchase your membership, visit one of our customer service desk locations with your U of M student card.
