ADMISSION PROFILE

Most admitted freshmen earned primarily As and Bs in high school and challenged themselves with honors, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Level Exams (A-Levels) courses.

Successful transfer applicants have strong grades in rigorous academic courses and have completed freshman-level English and math. Our most successful admitted transfer students earned a B average or better.

The University of Maryland is currently test-optional. Students applying between now and Fall 2025 will not be required to submit SAT/ACT scores; students can choose whether to include standardized test scores in their application.
