Meet Sadie

Participating on 58 different teams in 15 different sports, Sadie Lynch has played 215 intramural games and won a whopping 25 championships. She started out playing soccer her freshman year and says she feels fortunate to have had friends who already played and helped her find her way to intramural sports.

Her advice to new students? “Don’t be afraid to get out there and play a sport you’ve never played before. I had never played organized football since it is not typically a sport available to girls in high school. Flag football being coed here made it accessible to me. It took some getting used to how the game was played, but it ended up being one of the most enjoyable sports I played here.”

Recognizing that women’s intramural leagues often have lower participation than men or coed leagues, Lynch hopes more women start to discover intramurals.
