Covid 19 Memorial Park - Maharagama
A COVID Memorial Park is a space designed for the general public, aiming to address the social consequences of the prolonged pandemic. Lasting over two years, the COVID-19 pandemic led to increased social isolation and a decline in social skills among individuals. The project's approach focuses on creating an inclusive space that encourages people to come together, interact, and rebuild their social skills. It incorporates key elements such as interactive spaces, blended buildings, open areas, and working spaces.
The design outcome is twofold: to provide a venue for practicing and enhancing social skills, thus reducing social stresses like anxiety and depression, and to offer a place for individuals to forge new friendships and improve their mental and physical well-being.
