Alex Moore learned the in’s and out’s of the business world after he shadowed Marc Whitehead, Harbor Financial CEO for a day this summer. This opportunity was made possible through the Puttin’ on the Dawg auction.

Meet your Mac was an opportunity for the students to come in and get acclimated with their computer before the school year started.

UMS-Wright always has fantastic summer camps, and this year was no exception. Here are a few of our favorites - STEM camp, soccer camp- wacky day, cheer camp, baseball camp. Even though school was out for summer, the students loved being back on campus!

The 2015-16 school year is off to a great start! Here are a few of our favorite back to school pictures. From the new Apple devices to the construction on campus, our students and staff are so excited to see what this school year holds!

Mrs. Corley’s Wacky Monthly Calendar is a fun way to get kids excited about reading and trying a new title or author. The Lower School students have been busy reading upside down, in a self made tent, in their favorite pajamas and many other WACKY ways throughout August!

Awards and Recognitions

We would like to welcome the newest member of the UMS-Wright Security team, Micheal Brown.

Sixty-three (63) students at UMS-Wright Preparatory School have earned the designation of AP Scholar. Of this year’s award recipients thirty-two (32) were rising sophomores or juniors (pictured here). We are so proud of you all!

8th grade art students created sculptures using egg cartons, pipe cleaners, masking tape, aluminum foil, paper towels, and plaster gauze. These explorations of the human form are inspired by the works of Swiss sculptor Alberto Giacometti.

JP Cave won 1st place in his age group and 2nd place overall at the Southeastern Junior Golf Tournament this summer.

All three of the UMS-Wright cheerleading squads attended UCA Cheerleading Camp this summer. The Middle School squad won 2nd place in Extreme Routine, 1st place in Cheer Competition, and over-all Middle School Camp Champions. The JV squad won 3rd place in Extreme Routine and 3rd place in Cheer Competition. The Varsity squad took 1st place in Extreme Routine and 1st place in Cheer Competition. Congratulations to the girls and coaches!

Homecoming 2015 is just around the corner. Mark your calendars for September 28th – October 2nd because you will not want to miss any of the fun-filled events.
