The Girls’ Swim & Dive Team was recognized by the Mobile County Commission for winning the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!

#1 tennis player, Tianna Dixon was awarded the Elaine Francis Junior Excellence Award by Alabama USTA. "This award is given to the player who best exemplifies the finest qualities of sportsmanship, leadership and the finest traditions of the great sportsmen of tennis past and present."

The Girls' Basketball Team surpassed the amount of 3-pointers scored in a game under Coach Canova's reign with a new record of 12!

Sofia Swann and Walker Wilcox were selected to participate in the Capstone Leadership Program at the University of Alabama!


Congratulations to Mary Helene Marmande on being selected as a scholarship recipient in the 2020 Schumann Music Club Young Musicians’ Auditions.

Tiffany Stallings, 7th Grade STEM teacher was recognized as a WKRG Golden Apple Winner!

The William Mitchell Memorial Tournament was held in January. The UMS-Wright Boys’ Team finished in first place, Chapman Johnson and Sarah Elizabeth Freeman were named to the All-Tournament Team, and Trey Bonham was the MVP for the boys’ competition! In honor of Black History Month, our Middle & Upper School students had the privilege of listening to Judge Karlos Finley speak about the Dora Franklin Finley African American Heritage Trail!

Our Upper School students honored Holocaust Remembrance Day by watching “Nicky’s Family” and listening to remarks from Dr. Donald Berry. Dr. Berry is Co-Director of the Gulf Coast Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education.

Our 5th graders invited their GrandPals on campus for a day of interactive play that included games, art, logic and a fun photo booth!


Our 9th graders visited the History Museum of Mobile to view the "Ancient Rome: The Empire That Shaped the World" exhibit in February!

Juniors Kenzie McInnis and Hayden Owen were the first juniors of the semester to shadow as part of the Career Pathways Program! (L) Kenzie was able to get an up-close look at what it's like to be an orthopaedic surgeon when she shadowed Dr. Adam Handwerger ‘95 with The Orthopaedic Group, P.C. (R) Hayden Owen spent the day at Airbus learning about and observing designing spacecraft and airplane parts outsourced to companies like Delta.
