WAYS TO PAY FOR YOUR EDUCATION As a student veteran, you may be eligible for a wide range of payment options. Our dedicated veterans advisors can show you ways to meet, manage, and lower your education costs. VETERANS BENEFITS Student veterans who are eligible for any VA educational benefit can use their benefits at UMGC. The benefits listed below are the two that are used most often. Montgomery GI BillÂŽ

Active-duty servicemembers and veterans can be 40 percent to 100 percent eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill速 based

on the number of months of creditable service, as determined by the VA. The maximum number of months of benefits may exceed 36 when the student is eligible for more than one program.

January 1, 2013, Post-9/11 GI Bill 速 benefits are a lifetime entitlement. If separated prior to January 1, 2013, 15 years from the last day of active duty. Non-resident students paying the non-resident tuition rate may be eligible for the Yellow Ribbon program if they
