VISIBLE PARTICIPATION OF MONTENEGRO IN GLOBAL PROCESSES

UN’s mandate, key priorities and areas of work in Montenegro as well as Montenegro’s position in the international community are among topics covered by the interview with UN Resident Coordinator Rastislav Vrbensky “Visible participation of Montenegro in global processes”, published in the second issue of the magazine Diplomarius. The magazine is published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro.
Mandat, prioriteti i oblasti rada Ujedinjenih nacija u Crnoj Gori kao i pozicija naše zemlje u međunarodnoj zajednici neke su od tema intervjua sa koordinatorom UN u Crnoj Gori Rastislavom Vrbenskim pod nazivom “Vidljivo učešće u Crne Gore u globalnim procesima” koji je objavljen u drugom izdanju magazina Diplomarius. The first textbook for visually impaired children in Montenegro, recorded in the Daisy format, was presented by the Deputy Minister of Education Vesna Vučurović, UNICEF Montenegro Representative Benjamin Perks, director of the Resource Centre “Podgorica” Zoran Bošković, editor in the Textbook Publishing Agency Nađa Durković and Dean of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje Radmila Vojvodić.

For the second year in a row Montenegro joined global family in dancing against gender violence. Rainy weather did not stop a couple of hundreds of citizens to gather at the main square of Podgorica and dance for ending violence against women on the event organised by the NGO Safe Women's House with the support of UNDP Montenegro.

City of Podgorica will obtain its first Day Care Center for Children with Disabilities by next year. This represents an important step in the implementation of key principles of a wider social welfare reform – deinstitutionalization and decentralization.
In order to enable easy access to UN Montenegro’s knowledge & communications products, UN team in the country launched new web-based platforms: Joint UN Montenegro online Photo Library and online Reports & Publications Library. PODGORICA DOBIJA DNEVNI CENTAR ZA DJECU SA SMETNJAMA U RAZVOJU DO 2015. GODINE
Glavni grad Podgorica će do iduće godine dobiti svoj prvi Dnevni centar za djecu sa smetnjama u razvoju. To predstavlja važan korak u sprovođenju ključnih načela šire reforme reforme socijalne zaštite – deinstitucionalizacije i decentralizacije.

NEW COMMUNICATION PLATFORMS OF UNITED NATIONS IN MONTENEGRO
JEDNA MILIJARDA USTAJE
Drugu godinu zaredom, Crna Gora se pridružila globalnoj kampanji plesa protiv nasilja nad ženama pod nazivom “Jedna milijarda ustaje”. Kišovito vrijeme nije spriječilo nekoliko stotina građana da se okupe na glavnom trgu u Podgorici i zaplešu za okončanje nasilja nad ženama. Događaj je organizovala NVO Sigurna ženska kuća uz podršku UNDP Crna Gora.

DAY CARE CENTER FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES IN PODGORICA IN 2015
PRVI UDŽBENIK U DEJZI FORMATU SNIMLJEN U CRNOJ GORI
Prvi udžbenik u Crnoj Gori za djecu sa oštećenjem vida, snimljen u Dejzi formatu, predstavili su pomoćnica ministra prosvjete Crne Gore Vesna Vučurović, šef predstavništva UNICEF-a u Crnoj Gori Bendžamin Perks, direktor Resursnog centra “Podgorica” Zoran Bošković, urednica u Zavodu za udžbenike i nastavna sredstva Nađa Durković i dekanica Fakulteta dramskih umjetnosti na Cetinju Radmila Vojvodić.

NOVE KOMUNIKACIJSKE PLATFORME SISTEMA UJEDINJENIH NACIJA U CRNOJ GORI
U cilju olakšavanja dostupnosti izvještajima, publikacijama i foto galerijama Sistema UN u Crnoj Gori, tim UN u zemlji pokrenuo je dvije onlajn platforme – zajednička Foto biblioteka i zajednička Biblioteka izvještaja i publikacija Sistema UN u zemlji. U namjeri da ojača prisustvo na socijalnim mrežama, pokrenut je i zvanični tviter nalog Sistema UN u Crnoj Gori (@UN_Montenegro).

MAJORITY OF MONTENEGRINS SUPPORTS INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

According to the last survey on the knowledge, attitudes and practices of Montenegrin citizens towards inclusion of children with disabilities conducted within the It’s about ability campaign in December 2013, Montenegro is consistently progressing on the road of becoming an inclusive society. The survey showed that 80% of people now support inclusive education in Montenegro.

Prema posljednjem istraživanju o znanju, stavovima i ponašanju građana Crne Gore prema djeci sa smetnjama u razvoju, koje je sprovedeno u okviru kampanje “Govorimo o mogućnostima” u decembru 2013, Crna Gora vidno napreduje na putu da postane inkluzivno društvo. Istraživanje je pokazalo da 80% građana sada podržava inkluzivno obrazovanje u Crnoj Gori.

CENTER FOR ASYLUM SEEKERS OPENED IN SPUŽ

The first official Center for Asylum Seekers was opened in Spuž near Podgorica. The Center, which has capacity of 65 beds, is yet to be operational upon staff employment, their training and completion of procurement procedures for food and non-food items. The construction of the Center began in 2005 and was partially supported by the UNHCR and later funded by the EU. INAUGURATION OF CENTRE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Prvi zvanični Centar za tražioce azila otvoren je u Spužu u blizini Podgorice. Centar kapaciteta 65 kreveta, biće operativan nakon zapošljavanja službenika, njihove obuke i završetka nabavki prehrambenih i ostalih artikala. Izgradnju centra koja je počela 2005. godine, dijelom je podržao UNHCR, dok je većinu finansirala EU. VIŠE INFORMACIJA

Centre for Sustainable Development, which was established as joint initiative of the Government of Montenegro and UNDP was officially inaugurated. Activities of this Center will focus on four areas: (I) sustainable tourism, (II) sustainable energy (including energy efficiency and renewable energy), (III) management of resources and ecosystems, and (IV) adaptation to the effects of climate change and security in the environment.
"Cooperation between Montenegro and the UN can serve as the best practice example to the countries in the region that are in the process of European integration," said Dirk Lange, Head of the Unit for Montenegro within the European Commission's Directorate General for Enlargement, at the event organised in Brussels by the UN in Montenegro and the Office of the Chief Negotiator. PREDSTAVLJANJE CENTRA ZA ODRŽIVI RAZVOJ
Centar za održivi razvoj, koji je uspostavljen kao zajednička inicijativa Vlade Crne Gore i UNDP zvanično je predstavljen javnosti. Aktivnosti Centra u narednom periodu će biti fokusirane na četiri oblasti: (I) održivi turizam, (II) održiva energija (uključujući energetsku efikasnost i obnovljive izvore energije); (III) upravljanje resursima i ekosistemima i (IV) prilagođavanje na efekte klimatskih promjena i sigurnost u oblasti životne sredine.
