What does UNB consider? >Academic achievement is a primary consideration. UNB calculates a Scholarship Average which is the Admissions Average plus bonus points for completed enriched, AP and/or IB grade 11 and 12 courses. Bonus points are added directly to the Scholarship Average, as long as a mark of 75% or higher are achieved in the courses. * One bonus point for 1 to 3 enriched, AP or IB courses * A maximum of two bonus points for 4 to 6 enriched, AP or IB courses * A maximum of three bonus points for 7 to 9 enriched, AP or IB courses * A maximum of four bonus points for 10 or more enriched, AP or IB courses >The Scholarship Average is not rounded. In other words, a 79.9% does not become an 80%. >Financial need is considered for many scholarships. If financial information is not provided, the student will not be considered for scholarships given to students in financial need. >Extracurricular activities are also considered. Feel free to email a resume to awards@unb.ca but the scholarship application will be reviewed first. So it is important to fill out the scholarship application form completely!

Which scholarships should students apply for? >One scholarship application covers most of UNB scholarships for BOTH campuses. This application is found at http://www.unb.ca/scholarships/highschool.html as well as separate applications are available there for* *
