Undergraduate students must have 30 hours (12 hours for transfer students, 9 hours for graduate students) of coursework at UNC Charlotte.

Internships for academic credit are administered by academic departments. Working students will receive transcript notation for each semester worked. The university charges a $60 fee for transcript notation per semester worked.

Each year, organizations visit campus to conduct interviews All interviews are conducted in the University Career Center (150 Atkins) or Cone 366 All current UNC Charlotte students are eligible to participate, providing you meet employers’ criteria All UNC Charlotte alumni are eligible to participate the first year following graduation
There are two types of interview schedules: Pre-Select Interview Schedules Candidates submit resumes to organizations for consideration through NinerJobNet Employers review candidate resumes and select the people they would like to interview; those who are pre-selected sign up for an interview time on NinerJobNet
Open Interview Schedules Candidates who meet an employer’s qualifications can sign up for an interview time immediately
The No-Show Policy applies when a student does one of the following: Does not show up for a scheduled interview (on- or off-campus) Is accepted for a pre-select interview schedule but does not sign up for the interview Cancels an interview within 48 hours of the scheduled interview time
If you are considered a “No-Show,” this will occur: Access to your NinerJobNet will be suspended until you fulfill the conditions below. You must meet with your Career Advisor. During this meeting you will receive the employer’s contact information. You must submit an apology letter to the employer and send a copy of the email to your Career Advisor. Then, your NinerJobNet account will be reinstated.
To avoid being a “No Show,” contact the UCC to assist you if a conflict arises.
You will have access to NinerJobNet within 24-48 business hours after your Ethical Behavior Form (available at the end of this presentation) has been submitted. At that time, visit career.uncc.edu to log in.
To log in to NinerJobNet, use your Student ID (800#) number as your Username.
The default Password is “uncc” (all lowercase letters) . You may also click on “Forgot your password?” to receive a link to reset your password.
Note: You will not receive an email when your NJN account has been activated. We recommend that you wait at least 24 hours after turning in your form before attempting to log in.
You will be asked to complete Personal and Academic Information when logging in for the first time.

After completing you profile, we recommend you upload a resume into the system. Resumes, cover letters, writing samples, and other documents can all be uploaded. Tips for Uploading Documents: All documents must be created & edited in MS Word Have resumes critiqued prior to uploading Update your resume every 6 months Specify the type of document that you are uploading (i.e. resume, cover letter) Changes must be made to original document and resubmitted
