A beautiful photo album: On April 8 2015, the international community showed its support for UNESCO’s #Unite4Heritage campaign in Timbuktu, a World Heritage site. Ambassadors and representatives of Morocco, South Africa, the European Union, France, Germany, Switzerland, USAID, MINUSMA and the World Bank placed a symbolic brick for the reconstruction of Timbuktu's mausoleums. The reconstruction of the Timbuktu’s World Heritage monuments has entered its final stage. Launched in March last year, the rehabilitation of the 14 mausoleums that were destroyed by armed groups in 2012, is scheduled to be completed in July 2015. http://ow.ly/M2wAH
