• In 2019, North Florida defeated a top-50 opponent, had a tie against a top-20 foe, and posted more shutouts than the previous two years combined. Two players earned ASUN All-Conference second team honors, while three earned AllFreshmen nods. Torian Went and Padraic Gilley were named to the ASUN All-Academic team, while Went was voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team.
The Ospreys burst onto the national scene in 2015 after capturing the school’s first ever conference championship and a berth into the program’s first ever NCAA Tournament. Marinatos received back-to-back ASUN Coach of the Year honors in 2015 and 2016. In 2015, UNF compiled its first 10-win season in 15 years. Marinatos guided the Ospreys to three-straight ASUN Conference Championship games after just the program had just made one playoff appearance prior to his arrival. In 2015, a total of eight players garnered AllConference honors, four went on to be named to the NSCAA All-Region team and Helge Pietschmann became the program’s first ever All-American. In 2014, the Ospreys were regionally ranked in all but one week and finished the year ninth in the NSCAA Southeast Region. Five players garnered NSCAA Region honors and five listed on the Atlantic Sun All-Conference team, both program records.

The Ospreys went undefeated in ASUN Conference play in back-to-back seasons, boasting a 4-0-1 conference record in 2015 and a 5-0-1 conference record in 2016. In 2016, Jay Bolt was named the ASUN Defender of the year, while Adrian Nunez was awarded the Freshman of the Year.
• Goalkeepers Brad Sienkiewicz and Kyle Nasta quickly rose to the top of the school record books. Sienkiewicz made 138 saves in two seasons, which is the second most in school history, while Nasta set the single season, school record for goals against average (1.10) in 2014. In addition to the on the field improvements, Marinatos’ influence also carried over into the classroom. Four-straight teams have received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NCSAA) team award for posting a team GPA of a 3.0 or higher. The team boasted its highest grade point average ever with a 3.15 GPA in the spring of 2013 and over a 3.04 GPA for the entire 2012-13 academic year. In four years a total of 53 players have been placed on the ASUN Academic Honor Roll, including a program-high, 15 in 2013.

• In 2013, UNF produced the program’s first winning record in more than a decade and the first in the school’s Division I era.
North Florida moved up 65 spots in the RPI thanks to a program record for fewest goals allowed during the regular season (15) in the DI era, matching the program record for lowest GAA and posting the best defense in the ASUN, surrendering just five goals in conference play.

Jacob Weinshank joined the North Florida men’s soccer staff as a volunteer coach in the summer of 2018 and was promoted to Assistant Coach in August 2019.
Weinshank comes to UNF after serving as an assistant men’s soccer coach at Maine Maritime Academy in 2017-18. He also worked as a head coach and director of leagues and camps for Seacoast United Maine North 00-02 Premier Boy’s team. Additionally, Weinshank was the head coach of the University of Maine Men’s Club Soccer team (2016-17) and as the director of the soccer program for Camp Skylemar in Naples, Maine from 2013-15. He began his coaching career as an assistant Assistant Coach | Fifth Season

Since being promoted to assistant coach, Weinshank has helped in producing a top-25 victory on the road, as well as the ASUN’s top goals-against average in back-to-back seasons. He also saw Cormac Begley and Jovoney Brown earn All-ASUN second team honors in spring 2021, as well as Joaquin Acuña take ASUN All-Freshman honors in 2022.
Zelin brings more than 10 years of experience to the Ospreys. With Zelin on the sidelines, the Ospreys have picked up a Top 25 road victory, posted the top goals-against average in the ASUN in back-to-back seasons and saw Cormac Begley and Jovoney Brown earn ASUN All-Conference second team honors in spring 2021. He also assisted in helping Joaquin Acuña earn ASUN All-Freshman honors after he led the team with five goals in 2022. In his first year on the sidelines, Zelin helped North Florida to its first ASUN semifinal appearance since 2015. One of the ASUN’s top defensive teams, the Ospreys surrendered a league-low five goals in conference play.
Weinshank played one season at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji, while studying abroad in the Spring of 2014. He played for Triangle United Soccer Club in Chapel Hill, N.C., and represented his club in the USL Super 20 league in 2015. He holds United States Soccer Federation National License: D, E and F.

Zelin has a proven record of development, including players that have gone on to US national training centers, regional teams, collegiate programs and professional organizations. He currently holds his NSCAA Premier and UEFA B coaching license.
Jacksonville, Zelin’s talents helped Denver earn its first ever No. 1 ranking Associate Head Coach | Fourth SeasonintheTop Drawer Soccer Top 25. While with the Pioneers, Zelin saw the team make its eighth NCAA tournament appearance and win two Summit League regular season titles under the guidance of head coach Jamie Franks. While with the Pioneers, Zelin oversaw the development of more than 10 Summit League All-Conference selections, four all-region honorees and an all-American. In 2017, he was part of the Summit League Staff of the Year and propelled Denver to a No. 3 national Whileranking.on the field his impact was felt, Zelin also assisted off the field as well as Denver had a CoSIDA Academic All-American, a Senior CLASS award winner and the top GPA in Division I men’s soccer in 2018. Prior to his time with Denver, Zelin was a coach with Real Colorado, Real Salt Lake (AZ) and with 2017 National Champion Phoenix Rising FC, where he won league, state, regional and national championships.

Clayton
boy’s junior varsity coach at Brewer (Maine) High School in 2015. A 2015 graduate of Salve Regina University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology, Weinshank was a four-year starter on the men’s soccer team. He garnered the Commonwealth Coast Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year award (2014) and was named the Offensive Player of the Tournament at the 2012 Commonwealth Coast Conference playoffs. He helped lead SRU to the 2012 NCAA DIII Tournament and was selected a NSCAA All-East Region Scholar.
Zelin has a proven record of development with his previous clubs, including players that have gone on to receive invites to the United States national training center and regional teams. His former players have also received collegiate scholarships and opportunities to play at the professional level. During his playing days, he played NCAA Division I soccer at Georgia Southern, where he was captain and an all-tournament team selection. Following his college career, Zelin played in the MLS Reserves (Colorado Rapids), PDL (New Orleans, Salt Lake & Colorado Foxes) and MASL (Colorado Lightning and Denver Dynamite) before ending his career in USL (Phoenix).
Coach | FirstHisSeasonstoried career started in high school when he was the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year in 1998. He went on to start in the net all four years for Western Kentucky and set the program record for most career shutouts with 19.5 total, while also serving as a team captain and being named team MVP his junior and senior seasons.
Sattler’s coaching career started in 2004, when he coached at Lipscomb University for two years as the Goalkeeping Assistant Coach for two years. This was followed by a one-year stint in the same coaching position at Jacksonville University. While he was coaching for Lipscomb and Jacksonville, he was also playing professionally while coaching from 20032006. When put a halt to his coaching career in 2007 when he signed with the Atlanta Silverbacks in the USL First Division.
From 2007 until 2015 he played for five different professional soccer teams with 85 appearances at the keeper position, including winning the national championship with the San Antonio Scorpions in the NASL in 2014-15. He also won the Golden Glove Award with a 0.79 GAA with 13 shutouts in 24 games during the 2012 season in San Antonio. He returned to coaching full-time in 2016 when he became the Head Goalkeeper Coach and Academy GK Director for Jacksonville Armada FC. His stint with the Ospreys will be his fifth coaching stop in his career and his third since returning to coach in 2016.

Daryl Sattler
Daryl Sattler joined the North Florida men’s soccer staff as the volunteer goalkeeper coach in Summer 2022. Sattler has over 20 years of goalkeeping experience and is considered one of the best goalkeeper coaches in the state of Florida. He most recently has been the goalkeeper coach for Flagler College and is the Director of Goalkeeping for Jacksonville FC, while also starting EPIC Goalkeeping, Prime Soccer Academy, and EPIC Soccer Academy all since 2017. At Flagler College, Sattler produced the best goalkeeper in program history that was selected as Goalkeeper of the Year three consecutive years. He also helped coach team to a 23-1-1 record with a final four appearance in 2019, followed by being ranked as the #1 team in the nation during the 2020 Volunteerseason.Goalkeeper
