Informed by earlier findings from a web-based survey of youth-led development initiatives, this report analyzes data derived from UN-Habitat Urban Youth Fund projects. It focuses only on registered youth-led groups, drawing on application and monitoring and evaluation data from the Youth Fund applicants to examine the organizational context, operations, and capacity of these groups. It reveals some key aspects of organizational functioning that deserve more attention and support, and suggests potential leverage points where outside funding or other types of support (training, space, equipment, technical assistance, etc.) might make the most difference in supporting the organizations engaged in youth-led development.
