An immersive virtual reality therapy could help people with depression to be less critical and more compassionate towards themselves, reducing depressive symptoms, finds a new study from UCL and ICREA-University of Barcelona. Nine reported reduced depressive symptoms a month after the therapy, of whom four experienced a clinically significant drop in depression severity.

1. The vest does not put pressure on the torso when the pressure is not simulated.

2. Starting to simulate the pressure, the gas in the bag is increasing, and the gas in the tube is decreasing.

· Adapt to a variety of body types. · Weight management. · Complex structure.

2. Starting to simulate the pressure, the gas in the bag is increasing, and the gas in the tube is decreasing.

I found two places that are more likely to be touched in a hug, by embracing others. Based on this result, I drew a map of the airbag and tubes in the vest.

Tests of size adjustment

Price

These tests show that this vest can fit a variety of bodies, which means people don't need to custom their vests. This will help control the price of this vest.

Flexible

People's body is changing, and one vest may be used on more than one person. The design of size adjustment solved these demands successfully.

Hugging

Function

For realistic pressure simulation, the vest needs to be completely attached to the human body to ensure that the simulated pressure is in the same position as the (acting on the human body) strength. To achieve the above objectives, it is necessary to prevent the vest from exerting a perceptible pressure other than the simulated pressure on the human body. So as not to ruin the user's immersion.
