Our programme of visiting speakers, masterclasses and workshops led by industry experts will offer you further insight into the industry. Life Sciences Staff are active in exciting research areas such as cancer biology, neurodegenerative diseases, microbiology, environmental biology and biotechnology. Our courses not only meet the demands and expectations of the industry but also equip you with the right skills to ensure you will be highly employable when you graduate. Psychology You will develop skills that are highly desirable to potential employers, including the ability to; conduct research; project manage; critically analyse; communicate; and develop teamwork. You will have the opportunity to be involved in research projects, volunteering and attend and present at conferences to further explore the field of psychology.

Faculty of Health & Social Sciences (HSS) The Faculty of Health & Social Sciences offers a range of innovative courses attracting students from a wide variety of backgrounds. The Faculty takes a flexible, often work-based, approach to teaching and learning which encourages reflective practice. All teaching and learning is informed by research and evidence. Links with Professional Bodies We offer courses accredited by the National Youth Agency and Health and Care Professions Council to give you vital employment skills. Facilities Our healthcare students will benefit greatly from our simulation suites, which include an operating theatre, ward area, high fidelity mannequins, and much more. Our facilities also include top-of-therange biomechanical equipment. Most recently we have added to our simulation capacity with our new Simbulance, a fully functioning ambulance.
Social Studies Our Social Studies academics are actively involved in national and international research projects. You will be able to draw from their extensive experience in the field during lectures and practical sessions, as well as tailor your course to your interests and career aspirations to make the most of your degree. Healthcare By embedding practical learning in our courses, we aim to provide you with a better understanding of the theoretical concepts you learn in lectures. You will be taught by experienced professionals in a modern working environment to build your knowledge and confidence, and help you develop autonomy and independent practice. You will gain valuable knowledge on the UK healthcare system which will encourage you to consider feasible changes to practice when comparing it with healthcare in your country.
