Our Careers and Employability Service will support you throughout your postgraduate studies by providing you with: • Specialist Employability Advisers – available via our drop-in service or a one-to-one appointment • Help and support securing internships, part-time jobs and volunteering opportunities • Employment-related and networking events, competitions and careers fairs • Individual and group workshops on topics including CV writing and interview skills and practice • Access to a wealth of careers information and resources online Once you have completed your postgraduate studies, as a Bedfordshire alumni, you will have full access to our Careers Service for any help and support you may need after your graduation.

A global outlook is essential for many employers. Our links with thousands of organisations around the world provide you with opportunities to gain valuable work experience, and enable you to form industry contacts around the world. Many of our courses include a range of career development options such as consultancy projects and masterclasses and some have the option of an industry placement to enable you to expand your network and enhance your professional experience. You can also learn a language with one of our employability units.

Professional accreditations

We have strong links with a wide range of professional and industry bodies, which are recognised and respected in their relevant fields. Providing you with a career advantage from day one, they include the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL). Many professional bodies offer free or reduced rate memberships for students so you can begin to build your network and keep up-to-date with industry specific news whilst you study.
