BEDFORD RIVER FESTIVAL
Taking place in mid-July on the banks of the River Great Ouse, the Bedford River Festival is a showcase of the best of Bedford both on and off the river. This vibrant event includes sports activities, live music, dragon boat races, food and fireworks.
BEDFRINGE
Bedfringe runs for a week every year, attracting performers on their way to the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It is a great chance to see talented performers right on your doorstep as they try out some of their material!
THE HAT FACTORY
Owned by the Culture Trust Luton, the Hat Factory works with local and national talent to tell fresh and exciting stories. This year it offers a more diverse programme than ever, full of live music, contemporary dance, exhibitions, theatre, film, and workshops.
INSPIRE: LUTON SPORTS VILLAGE
Join the Luton community by taking part in a range of fitness classes at Inspire. A world-class multi-sports facility, it includes a modern gym, and two swimming pools with an award-winning pool hoist and professional diving boards.
LUTON CARNIVAL
Luton holds the UK's largest one-day carnival every year at the end of May. Introduced by the town's West Indian community in the 1970s, the carnival has grown into an exciting celebration around Wardown Park, with live music, dancing, arts and crafts, international cuisine and lots more.
LUTON TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB
If you have a free Saturday, why not catch a Luton Town Football Club (LTFC) game at Kenilworth Road? Currently in the Championship league, LTFC have been competing since 1885.
XSCAPE
At Milton Keynes Xscape, you can experience a 170m-long real-snow ski slope where you can go snowboarding, skiing, tubing and tobogganing. It also features a 16-screen cinema, a climbing wall, and lots of great restaurants and shops.

BLETCHLEY PARK
Bletchley Park played a significant role in World War II, breaking German, Italian and Japanese naval codes. Once a hub of secret activity and housing the Government Code and Cypher School, Bletchley Park now hosts a variety of different exhibitions and events for visitors.
WILLEN LAKE
Willen Lake is a great place to entertain friends and family in Milton Keynes, with lots of varied activities for all ages. You could try wakeboarding, canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding or even have a go on the county's only urban high-ropes course, Treetop Extreme. Or if you'd prefer something a little calmer, you could go for a stroll, visit the cafe and restaurant or hire a pedalo.

WATERSIDE THEATRE
The Aylesbury Waterside Theatre presents a range of West End and touring musicals and plays, as well as Christmas pantomimes and performances of ballet and opera.
ZSL WHIPSNADE ZOO
Set over 600 acres, ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is the UK's biggest zoo. It's home to almost 4,000 animals and 280 species including penguins, elephants, lions, hippos, giraffes and lots more.
ROALD DAHL MUSEUM AND STORY CENTRE
Based in Great Missenden, the museum and gallery celebrates Roald Dahl and his plethora of wonderful characters and stories. With free creative activities to get involved in while you're there, it's impossible to leave without a smile on your face.
MK GALLERY
Having partnered up with the Tate, the MK Gallery hosts a range of exciting exhibitions as well as facilities for cinema, performances and events. There is also a dedicated education and community programme and a café.
