Fantastic facilities

FANTASTIC FACILITIES At Bedfordshire, we are continually investing in our facilities to ensure we provide the latest, industry- inspired environments for you to study in. We have developed first-class social and learning spaces, too, designed with your bright future in mind.

LUTON

We have a recently built Postgraduate and CPD Centre with a range of lecture theatres (including two Harvard-style options); informal learning spaces; quiet study areas; and large event venue area. We have also invested in a purpose-built, seven-storey library, featuring dedicated silent areas; breakout spaces and pods to facilitate group work; and the latest in IT and AV equipment. Our Art and Design students have their own specialist building, formerly home to a famous British fashion house, and our Campus Centre houses all our student services under one roof. Our STEM building opened in 2019 and features high-spec engineering and research laboratories; an imaging suite built for using confocal and fluorescence microscopes; a dedicated space for histopathology and mammalian cell culture; and a range of robotic equipment including humanoid robots, robotic arms and wheeled robotic platforms. Our Nursing students benefit from modern simulation suites that contain contemporary skills labs and medical training mannequins.

BEDFORD

Our Bedford campus boasts bespoke modern facilities for teacher training including our Teacher Education Centre with realistic mock classrooms and a blended-learning, multimedia breakout space for webinars and podcasting; a Forest School for training in outdoor learning and play; and a specialist sensory building for the teaching of SEND and Early Years courses. We also have a three-storey building, Gateway, that offers high-quality teaching spaces, informal learning spaces, lecture theatres and the student services centre; a Campus Centre with 280-seat and 80-seat studio theatres; a modern Physical Education and Sports Science Centre; a wide range of indoor and outdoor sporting facilities; and nursing simulation suites.

AYLESBURY

Our Aylesbury campus is equipped for our Nursing and Midwifery students. Based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, our students learn in a modern and vibrant environment suited to today’s vocational approach to teaching. A recently built teaching facility on the hospital site includes a library, computer study facilities and a simulated hospital ward with AV technology.
