Head of the School of Arts and Creative Industries

What makes Bedfordshire’s courses different to those at other universities?

The Art and Design department is dedicated to providing an art school experience where creatives can explore and experiment with their subject as well as developing skills for the future. Our focus is on learning through making; exploring ideas, materials and processes; finding solutions; and posing questions. We are committed, gracious and supportive. In a world of individualised digital experiences, we believe the physical experience of studying a creative subject alongside others in a dedicated studio environment is the best way to find your way.

“The facilities at Alexon can’t be faulted. I would also recommend the University because of the amazing opportunities it has to offer outside of your course such as travelling, career and job opportunities, workshops in new technologies and the chance to experience and engage in other areas of study.”
