About us Excellent academic skills (such as writing, maths and study skills) are essential in order to be a successful student. These skills are also highly transferrable to the workplace – Having good academic skills will make you more employable. The Professional and Academic Development Team will help you to enhance your academic skills. Our service is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Workshops New to studying and unsure of how to get started? Want to be more efficient and effective in how you study? These workshops provide the ideal opportunity for you to be proactive in enhancing your skills. Workshops are open to all University of Bedfordshire students on a first-come first-served basis. Writing and study skills sessions take place in Luton (University Square) and Bedford (Polhill) during October and February. Exam preparation sessions will be offered during May. Drop-in (Study|Hub) During term time the Professional and Academic Development Team offer a free drop-in service. This is open to all University of Bedfordshire students on a first-come first-served basis. Tutors running drop-ins will try to see students for at least 30 minutes (although this will depend on demand). If you and your friends have similar questions why not come together? Appointments The Professional and Academic Development Team work closely with academic departments and other University Professional Services to ensure that our students can access the help they need to develop excellent academic skills.
