Third Years Blue De Luca and Leanne Thompson are making the most of our network and facilities here on the East 15 Southend Campus. They are sharpening their shooting and live vision mixing skills while volunteering to film and live stream the shows from our very own Clifftown Theatre Recently they have been training second year Lillis and first year KC, so they are ready to take over these roles once our third years graduate and move into the industry!

Funded by the Creative Estuary project, I have spent the past few months working as a Studio Assistant for Grrrrl Zine Fair based in Westcliff Part of my role at GZF was to produce a launch event for their newest publication, Grrrr In Print Issue 5: Queer Utopias The event took place in North London’s own queer utopia, Dalston Superstore The night consisted of an exhibit I curated with artists featured in the issue, as well as live DJs, Nail & Tooth Gem stalls and drop-in zine making It was great to develop connections with queer venues and work to produce an event that aligned with my own personal values It was a pleasure getting the chance to platform LGBTQIA+ art and communities
