WATERFRONT BUILDING

The Waterfront Building, located in the heart of the Ipswich Waterfront, opened in 2008 and was our first dedicated teaching, learning and social space. The building has one auditorium which seats 200 people, two main lecture theatres each seating 140 people and 34 teaching rooms seating between 18 and 80 people.

THE ATRIUM

The Atrium opened in September 2016. The Atrium has benefited from a complete refurbishment of the current facilities resulting in the provision of modern, accessible facilities including the radiography VERT suite, PC labs, psychology labs, computer games design and network and software engineering labs, air-conditioning and new seminar rooms.

JAMES HEHIR BUILDING

The James Hehir Building is a few minutes’ walk from the main Waterfront Building and located adjacent to Athena Hall, the on-campus 600-bed student residence. The building is home to specialist teaching facilities including clinical skills laboratories, physiology and sports science laboratories, and an iLab, as well as general teaching and study space and Cult Cafe Bar.

ARTS BUILDING

The Arts Building waas built in the 1990s it was extensively refurbished in 2009. It houses state-of-the-art facilities which include a range of studios for painting and sculpture. A drawing studio, workshops and an exceptionally well-equipped print studio, film studios, dark rooms and IT facilities.

The Library Building reopened in 2010 and is home to the Students’ Union offices, where the elected President, Vice-President and SU Council Officers are based. The Library is located on the first floor offering quiet areas, laptop spaces, private booths for single or group occupancy, study areas, resource rooms and a wide variety of books.
