Belle Vernon and Frazier Interact Clubs Hold 29th Annual Banquet

The Belle Vernon and Frazier Interact Clubs met for their 29th Annual Banquet at the Sons of Italy in Perryopolis on March 23. The event serves to celebrate the past year of community service with members of the Belle Vernon Rotary, their sponsoring club. The Interact Clubs each presented their list of community events that the members participated in during the year. Many of the Interact members were given certificates for distinguished service and the new members were individually introduced. Each club chose a community person of the year to be honored, Michael Rozell from Belle Vernon and Devan White from Frazier. Both recipients made remarks and thanked the students for the honor.

During the program, Belle Vernon Rotary President Brian Pirilla presented donations to both clubs for their help at the Rotary Pancake Dinner held in February. Christina Dinh serves as President of the Belle Vernon Area Club and Jensyn Hartman is Frazier's Interact Club President.

Flea Market Set for April 15 in Carrick

St. Pius X Byzantine Church, located at 2336 Brownsville Rd. in Carrick, PA 15210 will be holding a Flea Market inside their auditorium on Saturday, April 15 from 10:00 AM -3:00 PM. There will also be a Bake Sales, and Ethnic Food will be served.

SAVE THE DATE – Spring Craft Show

A Spring Craft Show and Vendor Show will be held May 6 from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Ethnic Foods and a Bake Sale will be held at this event also. Tables are still available for vendors to rent for both of these events. Call 412-881-8344 to inquire about these events.

Clairton/Jefferson Hills Area AARP #1612 to Meet April 22

AARP Chapter #1612 will hold their next regular meeting on April 22 at the Jefferson Hills Municipal Building located at 925 Old Clairton Road, Jefferson Hills, PA. Guests are welcome.

Donuts and coffee will be offered at 9:30AM followed by a brief meeting. All meetings end on a high note with entertainment by local performers. Entertainment for our April meeting is local vocalist, Jerry DeMaria performing songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett and other performers of the 40’s and 50’s.

Several activities are planned for 2023 including day and overnight bus trips, two banquets, and a picnic. A day trip to Ohio Amish country is in the works for June.
