HISTORY UNCORKED - The Smithsonian-affiliated Senator John Heinz History Center will host its 25th Annual History Uncorked –Pittsburgh’s #1 party for young professionals – on Friday, March 3, from 7:30–11:00 p.m. History Uncorked: A Beautiful Night in the Neighborhood will feature block party-inspired activities and entertainment on every floor. Guests can network, explore, and unwind with friends and peers as they enjoy beer, wine and signature cocktails, and delicious bites from local eateries. History Uncorked will feature an epic dance party hosted by DJ Bamboo and Arie Cole, live music with DJ Cake, Pittsburgh trivia with Trivia Jockeys, tarot card readings, a silent auction, and more. Visitors can also explore six floors of dynamic exhibitions that highlight the culture and history of Pittsburgh, from Mister Rogers Neighborhood to artist Ron Donoughe’s “90 Neighborhoods” paintings on view in the Special Collections Gallery. General admission is $65 in advance and $85 at the door. All proceeds from History Uncorked support the History Center in BIG ways, from bringing Smithsonian-quality exhibitions to Pittsburgh and creating programming for learners of all ages, to preserving historic artifacts and ensuring our collections are here to inspire future generations. CELTIC MUSIC ‘CONCERT FOR

LIFE’ - The Bible Chapel located at 203 Johnston Ave in Pricedale, is hosting a FREE “Concert for Life” on March 4, from 7-8 pm. The concert will feature the band Abbots Cross. With roots in jazz, classical and rock, Abbot’s Cross is redefining traditional Celtic Music. The concert is free to the public. Also, any child who comes can enter a coloring contest, and they will be given a prize just for coloring it! Guests can also enjoy a Chinese auction and free refreshments after the concert. In kind donations are also welcome. Any proceeds raised will benefit New Life Options in Monongahela. Melissa Rohm, Director of New Life Options explains that they offer classes to earn free items that helps moms and dads and anyone who wants to keep their child up to three years old. Items such as formula, diapers, cribs, car seats and clothes are available - all for FREE!!! New Life Options is a FREE service and can be reached at 724-797-0417. ANNUAL GIFT BASKET RAFFLE -

The West Newton Library will hold their 6th Annual Gift Basket Raffle on Sunday, March 12 at the Turkey Town Fire Hall, 90 Supervisor Dr. in West Newton. Doors open at 11:30 AM and event begins at 12:00 noon and runs until 4:00 PM PM. Gift Basket Drawing Begins at 2:30 sharp. There will be 25 general gift basket tickets, games of chance include President's Choice, Basket Tier, 50/50, tip boards and more. Tickets are $20 per ticket and are non refundable. MEETING - The monthly meeting of the South Hills Coin Club will be held Tuesday evening March 14, at 7:30 PM at the Bethel Park Municipal building located at 5100 West Library Ave. in Bethel Park. All members and the general public are invited. This months program will be show and tell of recent coin finds by our members. A 50/50 will be offered and childrens prizes to be awarded. CLOTHES 4 U MINISTRY - The Clothes 4 U ministry of the First United Methodist Church in Belle Vernon will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Tuesday March 14 and Tuesday, March 28. All donations of clean gently used clothing is greatly appreciated so that we can continue this ministry to the people of the Mon Valley. We are strictly donations in and donations out.
