Free ‘Concert For Life’ in Rostraver to Feature Celtic Music

The Bible Chapel located at 203 Johnston Ave in Pricedale, is hosting a FREE “Concert for Life” on March 4, from 7-8 pm. The concert will feature the band Abbots Cross. With roots in jazz, classical and rock, Abbot’s Cross is redefining traditional Celtic Music. The concert is free to the public. Also, any child who comes can enter a coloring contest, and they will be given a prize just for coloring it!

Guests can also enjoy a Chinese auction and free refreshments after the concert. In kind donations are also welcome. Any proceeds raised will benefit New Life Options in Monongahela. Melissa Rohm, Director of New Life Options explains that they offer classes to earn free items that helps moms and dads and anyone who wants to keep their child up to three years old. Items such as formula, diapers, cribs, car seats and clothes are available - all for FREE!!! New Life Options is a FREE service and can be reached at 724-797-0417.

Annual Apple Dumpling Sale Returns at Bethesda Church

Bethesda U.P. Church has begun taking orders for their annual apple dumpling sale. The apple dumplings can be ordered “baked” or “unbaked.”

The unbaked dumplings will be frozen. Baking instructions, refrigerated sauce, and baking tins will be provided with the unbaked and frozen dumplings.

Orders can be made by calling Bethesda church at 412334-4078. If no one is available, you can leave a message on the answering machine and include your name, phone number, and the number and type of apple dumplings requested. If you do leave a message, you will receive a return phone call the next day to confirm your order. You may also drop your order off at Bethesda Church, located at 314 Third Street, Elizabeth Boro, 15037. If there is no answer, you can place them in the white mailbox on the porch. Orders can also be mailed to the church. Orders must be received by Sunday, March 26th.

The price for the apple dumplings is $4.50 each. You may pay in advance (check payable to Bethesda Board of Deacons) or pay on pick-up. The pick-up date for the apple dumplings is Saturday, April 1st from 12:00 noon to 2 p.m. They can be picked up at the U.P. Bethesda Church at the bottom of Route 51 North off-ramp and across from Dollar General.

Lunch with the Easter Bunny Event in Donora

Holy Rider Assembly of Christ, located at 317 First Street in Donora, will be holding ‘Lunch with the Easter Bunny’ on Saturday, April 1 from 11:00AM – 2:00PM. Lunch includes: Hot dog, Chips, Cookie, and a Drink, and costs just $6 for adults, and $4 for children ages 2 – 12. Children under 2 are free. Your admission includes Lunch, a Tattoo Station, and Egg Craft. Children will also receive a lollipop from the lollipop tree. Photos with the Easter Bunny will be just $5. Drama Club to Perform ‘Anastasia

The Belle Vernon Area High School Drama Club will perform ‘Anastasia The Musical’ on March 9, 10, 11 at 7:30pm and March 12 at 2:30pm.
