Set Up After 8 a.m. Friday, April 10 Doors will remain open throughout the night. Setup is not allowed Saturday after 7 a.m. Vehicle access to buildings will be restricted.
Security Security is available from 5 p.m. Friday through 8 a.m. Monday during hours the show is closed.
Clean Up Clean up may begin after 4 p.m. Sunday, April 12. In no case shall vehicles park next to buildings before 4 p.m. Exhibit space must be vacated and clean by 11 a.m. Monday, April 13. Any exhibitor breaking down a booth before the end of the show on Sunday, without explicit permission from The Union Democrat, will not be invited back the next year.
What to Bring Electricity is available to all booths but may require extension cords. Tables and chairs are not provided with the booth space. If you need to rent tables, chairs, skirting or any other accessory for your booth call Porter Rents and Sells well in advance of the event; 2095888621. Water is located outside each building. There are no direct water lines to booths inside the buildings.
Noise There is a lot of natural background noise in the buildings. We ask that you limit the volume of any taped or live presentations as a courtesy to your neighbors. If complaints become numerous you will be asked to lower the volume or in extreme cases to leave the show.
Parking
Parking is very limited and traffic lanes are narrow. As an exhibitor you will be directed to the exhibitor parking areas. All traffic lanes and building entrances must remain clear. Parking areas cannot be reserved. Large trucks and equipment parked as an extension of any outside booth will be charged as an extra booth space. Any vehicle parked in a fire lane or otherwise blocking the free flow of traffic will be towed away at the owner’s expense. Exhibitors will not be allowed to park at Building Entrances after 7:00 a.m. Saturday, April 11.
Restrictions Duct tape, double sided tape, felt markers, nails, screws and staples are not allowed on walls or floors. Repairs to the fairgrounds as a result of damage will be charged to the exhibitor.
Attendance The annual Home and Garden Show is wellattended. For planning purposes, exhibitors can expect a turnout of between 8,000 and 10,000.
Public Announcements A microphone is available for public announcements during the show. Announcers must be an employee or owner of the exhibitor for which the announcement is made. For information on the microphone location visit The Union Democrat booth located outside the Sierra Building
