headed north toward Canada. She's an aspiring writer and he's an engineer who digs fossils in his spare time. They both quit jobs to pursue their dream of walking the Pacific Crest Trail. Like many through-hikers attempting the entire 2,650mile length of the PCT, they leavethe trailevery few weeks to resupply, shower and rest. Their most recent break was in Bridgeport, about 30 miles east of Sonora Pass. Just north of Highway 108 and the PCT trailhead at Sonora Pass, Claire and Caleb paused aweek ago to tellsome of their story.
