‘Goldilocks at the Three Bears’ Ms. Amason’s kindergarten class at Creekside Elementary School read the book ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears,’ which is a part of the reading series. After reading the story the students got to choose their favorite character and made a puppet. The children use their puppets to act out the story while Ms. Amason reread the story. Shown is Ms. Amason’s class with their puppets.

Congratulations to GMC Prep eighth-grader Elizabeth Savage who was recently recognized as a state winner in the 4-H Leadership in Action Program. She led a community ser vice project in which she collected unwanted items from the residents at The Cottages and Savage delivered the items to the Goodwill store to make them available to others.

Early Learning Center students shoot hoops at Georgia College Mrs. Simons and Mrs. Johnson's class recently took a field trip to Georgia College to visit with Coach Mo Smith, head basketball coach, and members of the men's and women's basketball teams. The children played games, met the mascot Thunder the Bobcat and got to shoot some hoops.

GMC Prep Cadet wins UDC essay contest Cadet Seth Lowery was the state winner for the United Daughters of the Confederacy Essay Contest.

Oak Hill Middle science students complete motion lab Mrs. Clayton's Physical Science class is studying motion and forces. In a lab entitled ‘Stopping On A Dime’ the students will experiment with finding the classes average reaction time after a 15 meter sprint in order to determine how far the out-of-bounds line should be away from the wall of a new basketball court customized for their safety.

Midway students visit the First UMC Pumpkin Patch

JMA class visits UGA

The JMA Class of 2011 visited UGA and toured the campus with two student guides. They enjoyed ringing the bell, touring Miller Hall and the Tate Center. An admissions session answered questions about applications and opportunities. The day ended with lunch at the Village Summit Dining Hall where several former students came by to visit with this year’s seniors.

“Celebrating 10 Years”

Mrs. Bellflower’s first grader class at Midway Elementary recently took a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch at the First United Methodist Church in Milledgeville.

The purpose of E.B.L.A. is to provide a challenging and versatile education that will enable students to be successful and productive citizens. The philosophy of E.B.L.A. is that all students are capable of learning and accomplishing any goal with a little hard work.
