Quote of the day:
Flappy Bird: What it is and what we think about it. The Legacy of Flabby Bird By: Shin Young Kim and Manato Tsuda The game was launched on May 2013. Nguyen Ha Dong (Vietnam) developed an addictive iPhone app. The main idea of this game is to get through as many pipes as possible. The bird briefly flies up each time the player taps the screen. Two pipes are on the middle of the screen and If the screen is not tapped to dodge the pipes, the bird falls and the game ends. The player is scored on the number of pipes the bird successfully passes through. This app was downloaded more than 50 million times before it was deleted on 11 February 2014. This game was deleted because of players criticizing the game and creator. A lot of players have complained that the game has taken over their life. I can see that the game can be both entertaining, and annoying. I think that the game can be entertaining if you can control yourself, but also very distracting if you can’t. This game could potentially take over your school life as well as your life at home. I have tried the game several times. I have also watched people too. When you are watching, it seems easy but when you try it, it “becomes” much harder. The game is highly addicting due to the extremely difficult setting of the game. Many people had complained that the game has taken over their lives, and then blackmailed the creator. Almost 54/100 of the reviews on the game were criticism, directed at the creator. One review stood out amongst the others. It as a review by firedog92. He explained how he was a normal student, attending school and hanging out with friends. Then, after downloading the game he became totally isolated from the rest of the world. He quotes: “I locked myself in the bathroom. I’m sitting in the bathtub writing this review. My mother had stopped feeding me.. I beat my brother’s high score, but I kept going. I wanted to get 100. I’ve already created this addiction. I’ve already gotten 70 so why not? I don’t talk to anyone anymore. A person reading this that doesn’t have this game is a life saved. Don’t end up like me.”.

Flappy Bird: What it is and what we think about it. Another opinion is that many people have enjoyed the game. Some people have claimed to reach a score of 1000. After the game was popularized, many hacks and cheats were created. They are apps that can change the game. For example, you can change your high score, change the sound effects, your character, and the pipes. The hacks can make the game easier, but the game instantly becomes boring and players stopped trying.

5 Steps To Making Your Computer Faster
The biggest technological problem in a Middle School student’s life: slow tablets and Internet! slow internet and tablets are some of the biggest slowdowns on the processes of a UNIS middle school student and really slow EVERYTHING down. That's why I'm here to help! I present to you: 5 STEPS TO SPEEDING UP YOUR TABLET!
1. Programs usually open and close slowly because other programs are open for no reason. The biggest threats are schoolwork-related Microsoft programs, browser tabs, and OneNote and Outlook that, while not too dangerous, can slow things down over time. Save them and close them all. You should have at most 4 windows and 2 tabs open. Don't worry, you can find them again if you organize your files. 2. Internet slowdown is caused by a lot of things. First off, Internet Explorer, DON'T EVER USE IT unless you need to access the portal. Use Google Chrome, don't worry about it, the teachers won't mind.
3. History is the biggest thorn in your internet's side, so better remove it! If you followed my previous step, then you should be using Chrome. You can simple do so by opening up Google Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + Delete, click on Clear Browsing data - tick all checkboxes set the clear date to 'The beginning of time', press 'clear browsing data', and your internet is instantly faster!

6th Grade Level Trip (Opinion) By Inuri Nanayakkara From March 17 to March 21 the grade level trips took place, from grade 6 all the way to grade 11. Though the trips were supposed to be for making new friends and having fun, we also learned lots of things about our surroundings and the purpose for each grade level, for example in grade 6 the purpose of our trip was to learn about rainforests and it's animals, mostly the endangered ones. We learned about how human impact can affect our surroundings, and ways we can conserve wildlife that is quickly disappearing . We visited the Endangered Primate Rescue Center and spent an hour peacefully observing primates. We stayed at Mac lake and at the Cuc Phuong headquarters. We went on 3 hikes, looked at lorises, carnivores, pangolins and went on night hikes at night, and played games and practiced for the Cuc Phuong Burst at day time. I rather enjoyed camp, however I think some of us didn’t. Some people thought we stayed for too long, but some people thought the trip was too short. Some people did not like their roommate, and some people felt left out. Despite this, most people had a great time. I mostly enjoyed the hikes, like the night hike for example, because afterwards we got to see the same place (the botanical gardens) at day time. I also liked the boat ride before arriving at camp. At first it was really scary, because I thought the water was deep and the boat rocked sideways a lot. It turns out the water level was really low, about knee length. Most of the trip took place in the main camp, so people staying at mac lake had to come to the main camp all the time. Did you enjoy your trip? Where there any parts of camp you did not like? Overall, even if I did not like some parts of camp, I had fun and I hope most of us did too.

6th Grade Humanities Field Trip On the 7th of March the 6 grade class went on an amazing field trip to three beautiful temples. We saw Quan Thanh, Tran Quoc temples and Van Mieu. In the first temple we saw many kinds of animal statues. It is Taoist. They believe in nature and freedom, but they do not believe in government. This temple is the smallest one that I have ever seen! In the second temple, it was Buddhist. There we saw many Buddhists that were praying. The inside of the temple was very beautiful and it is on an island. This Buddhist temple is the oldest temple in Hanoi. The last one was the largest and it took a long time. Also it wasn’t a temple, it was a university. Now it is a museum. The museum had different parts and all looked the same. The last one was the biggest and we went inside. This trip helped us to understand the eastern philosophies.
