In this edition of Advance you can read all about the research work Unitec is doing with and on behalf of our external partners in the communities and industries we are connected to.
The theme is what we’re calling “outside in”. There’s a broad cross section of projects covered with the common thread of having taken their lead from the needs of those outside Unitec.

But really most ideas are born outside institutions, because that’s where most people are – so why not harness that energy for the betterment of both sides?
This edition of Advance covers the future of molecular biology, how architecture can help post-disaster reconstruction, using art to harness creative energy and the repurposing of an old pub as a community centre, among other things.
