Central Ohio Women

LIVING UNITED.

Women’s Leadership Council The Women’s Leadership Council has grown! Not only have we doubled our size from the original 153 amazing Founding Members to more than 350 strong, but we have successfully launched and completed a full year of the E3 program – the initiative to Educate, Empower, Elevate local women that WLC members have built from the ground up. E3 provides training to help women in our community become financially stable by preparing for and obtaining living wage jobs with benefits. With a full year of programming completed we now have some success stories to share: •

Britt from the first cohort has started her own catering business

Molly is working towards a degree in library science with the long-term plan to be a museum/data curator. While she is working towards those goals she has gotten a position as the executive assistant for a WLC member at Limited Brands

Marci was the recipient of a scholarship from New Directions Career Center and is part way through training as a cardiac sonographer, a fast growing field with a median salary range of $50,000!

These are powerful examples of what engaged, dedicated women can do. By being a member of WLC, you have a direct hands-on impact in the lives of women who are in need of support to make life better for themselves and their families. This directory is for you to get to know each other a bit better and also serves as a valuable resource for E3 participants to connect with WLC members. Thank you for being a part of this exciting community of engaged, talented and generous women.
