LIVING UNITED.
Women’s Leadership Council
The Women’s Leadership Council has grown! Not only have we doubled our size from the original 153 amazing Founding Members to more than 310 strong, but we have successfully launched an initiative we call the E3 program – Educate, Empower, Elevate. WLC members have built E3 from the ground up. E3 provides training to help women in our community become financially stable by obtaining living wage jobs with benefits. The first class included 12 women, each with unique hopes and personal goals for the program. We look forward to getting to know the 14 women who will be in our next E3 class. One of our E3 graduates shared her thoughts about the program: “I’m learning a lot about myself and how to work better with people. I’m also receiving a clear sight towards the future. I now feel it is all possible and will be achievable as long as I stay focused and determined.” This is a powerful example of what engaged, dedicated women can do. By being a member of WLC, you have a direct hands-on impact in the lives of women who are in need of support to make life better for themselves and their families. As I look at the diverse and wonderful accomplishments of the WLC women on the following pages, I know that we have made and will continue to make a difference in our community. This directory is for you to get to know each other a bit better. Thank you for being a part of it.
