We are hosting a family arts exhibition this October and we’d love to share your art works, created by children aged 0 - 14 and their families on the theme of food, meal times and favourite recipes. Unity Youth Theatre works with young people aged 14 to 18 to develop drama and life skills. This autumn they will be showcasing extracts from plays, songs and sketches in memory of Joan Frood who would have been 100 on the day of the show and who was a driving force behind Merseyside Unity Theatre.

Siegfried Sassoon CBE Seigfried Sassoon fought on the Western Front and became a leading war poet describing the horrors of the trenches and satirising the patriotic pretensions of those he felt were responsible for the war. Wilfred Owen Wilfred Owen grew up in Birkenhead. His shockingly realistic poetry talked about the horror of trench & gas warfare contrasting the public perception of war. He was killed in action in France on the 4th November 1918. Song of Semmersuaq 21 - 22 Nov | 8pm (Fri) & 2pm (Sat) | £7 (£5 conc) A lyrical piece performed with puppets, for anyone aged 10 and over. Semmersuaq is a 7ft tall Chief’s daughter from a tribe who live in a world of snow. She meets a shorter stranger in her quest to marry who helps her sing her own song. Based on an original short story, this
mythical tale uses puppetry, play and poetry to explore universal themes of gender, difference and disability. British Sign Language interpreted (Fri 21) and audio described (Sat 22). Written & Performed by Sophie Partridge Presented by DaDaFest

Booking Reservations may be held for up to 3 days. Group bookings may be held longer. We offer concessions for most shows for over 60s, under 16s, students, registered disabled and job seekers. • £1 to post out tickets • 50p per ticket to exchange tickets We do not refund tickets unless a show is cancelled. We may be able to resell tickets for sold out shows or exchange them for alternative performances if tickets are returned 48 hours prior to the show. Latecomers will not be allowed in until a suitable point in the performance.
