The Degree in Design is characterized by interdisciplinarity and teaches students to conceptualize and develop projects in the various disciplines of the broad field of design.
Students at the School have access to the latest digital manufacturing technologies (laser cutter, milling machine, large format printer, 3D printers and scanners, etc.) in the lab and digital manufacturing workshop.
The blending of teaching and research is one of the distinctive features and hallmarks of quality of the School of Architecture at the University of Navarra. Producing doctoral dissertations, patents and technical publications is not merely a way to make professors' professional résumés shine, but a fundamental basis on which they are selected and which ensures that their teaching performance is up to date and of high quality.
In addition to the high number of international students and the option of spending a semester at one of the more than 50 universities with which we have agreements, the School organizes a week-long academic visit to a European capital or Spanish city every year, which, together with faculty members, helps enrich the students’ cultural and professional development.
The work undertaken in the workshops and the presentation of projects represent the students’ first foray into their professional future.
The graduation ceremony is the culmination of five intense years of work.
The balance between creativity and technical aspects is what defines the Degree in Architectural Studies. Through projectbased learning, students learn the techniques involved in designing, planning and constructing environments, buildings and public spaces.

The creative specialization uses a range of different approaches to delve into related subjects such as photography, video, typography and graphic expression, right through to argumentation theory applied to architectural projects and digital representation, prototyping and 3D printing and management of creative companies.
This specialization addresses skills related to the design of urban environments and collective housing, environmental and social responsibility, urban rehabilitation and mobility, introduction to management in public administration, legal structures for planning and citizen participation, and advanced management of geographical information systems (GIS), among others.
This specialization delves into the design and management of processes and systems for the industrialization of construction, site management, technical evaluation of buildings and energy rehabilitation management.
You’ll create structural, constructionand installation-based solutions for building and urban planning projects.
You’ll use tools for spatial, graphic and cultural expression to represent your ideas and thoughts.
You’ll develop techniques and technologies to make buildings habitable and sustainable, designed with people in mind.
Using the latest techniques to blend innovation and practicality, faculty members will guide students through the creation of focused, competitive and impactful design solutions.
It is a degree intended for students who are curious and passionate about the problems of the modern world and are ready to take them on as challenges to design the future.
In your third year, you’ll be able to choose a specialization that will teach you specific new skills.

Final Year Project
This will give you the knowledge and techniques you’ll need to develop products based on research, user experience and experimentation with materials. You’ll be able to design a product in line with people’s needs and modern trends.
Through theoretical and practical subjects, students acquire the skills required to design a fashion product: from learning classic pattern designing to 3D modeling and prototyping, brand-communication strategies and administration and management tasks.
This discipline uses empathy as a starting point to understand the systems and organizations in society. You’ll learn to use the service design methodology to understand the behavior and needs of users with a view to creating unique experiences for people.
The design thinking process, which includes researching, conceiving, prototyping and presenting a project.
The culture of references in the world of design and how to use them as inspiration to create meaningful designs.
Integrated projects help promote interdisciplinary education and transversal training, while fostering the integration of knowledge on different subjects.
Project work involves continuous supervision by faculty members (professionals), who carry out weekly monitoring of student projects.
Our traveling exhibition ‘We Design’ is a compilation of our students’ best projects. We have been involved in design events in cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao and Milan.
