INTRODUCTION
2022 was the 100 anniversary of the University of Latvia Botanical Garden. The UL Foundation actively raised funds for the UL Botanical Gardens renovation project, started cooperation with Madara Cosmetics, Venden, car service "Avdeeva & Kopilkov Atelier" In addition, the car service set up a donation box in the shape of a tire to enable service customers to donate to the UL Botanical Garden.
For the first time, an essay contest for students dedicated to the era of Gustavs Zemgals was announced. The response was great: 66 works from 44 schools competed for the top three places. The descendants of Gustavs Zemgals aspire to continue this tradition.

The University of Latvia, in cooperation with the University of Latvia Foundation, organized a benefit concert "For a Free Ukraine", which raised a significant amount of over 8 000 euros, with the aim of helping Ukrainian students to learn the Latvian language.
In 2022, the University of Latvia Incubator celebrated its 10 anniversary During this decade, the UL Foundation has helped many young aspirants by raising major donations of over 230 000 euros contributed by more than 100 individuals and companies.
At the end of 2022, there were changes to the Board of UL Foundation. The chair of the UL Foundation Board, Ivars Lācis, and UL Foundation Board Member, Andris Bērziņš, concluded their work in the Board. The UL Foundation is profoundly grateful for the fruitful cooperation and shared achievements!
