HOW CAN LATVIANS LIVING ABROAD DONATE TO THE UNIVERSITY OF LATVIA IN THEIR WILL?
The last will and testament made abroad is first approved in the country where the testator lives and is transferred to Latvia only after the testator has passed away. Therefore, for Latvians living abroad who wish to donate to the University of Latvia in their will, the form and content of the will depends on the regulations of their country of residence.

Sample Of A Bequest In A Last Will
A person may bequeath all or part of his or her property or a specific asset or sum of money to the University of Latvia (University of Latvia Foundation). Below you will find sample wording for both cases. Accordingly, you can choose the wording that corresponds to your wishes.
Please note that the text of a private will must be handwritten and signed in accordance with the samples below. If you wish your bequest to be used for any specific purposes or programmes of the University of Latvia Foundation, you must additionally indicate this in your will.
