WHERE CLASSROOM MEETS COMMUNITY

At the UO we have something for everyone. Here, you can choose from hundreds of majors, minors, certificates, and programs. Not sure which one to choose? About 20 percent of our incoming students aren’t sure of their major when they enroll. We call that “exploring,” and you’ll receive academic advising like those who have declared a major.

DESIGN STUDENTS COLLABORATE

The UO is a space to come together with fellow Ducks and explore activities and passions. It’s the people you’ll meet and the memories you’ll make that will take flight with you as you soar to your next chapter.

Yes, education is why you are coming to the UO. But college is more than just your degree.

HEEDING THE CALL FOR ACTION

OF FRESHMEN ARE ETHNIC AND RACIAL MINORITIES

CULTURAL AND IDENTITY-BASED CENTERS AND GROUPS

The UO recognizes the ongoing and recent racial injustices that have called so many people to take action. To bring about awareness of systemic racism and to impact change, we know it takes intention, humility, and a willingness to listen to and learn from the people around us particularly those most impacted by these injustices. It also takes critical thinking and shifts in how we behave and act, for change to happen. Working toward this goal, the UO has devoted a channel to educate our community, provide opportunities to participate, move toward change, and acknowledge and honor work that is being done. uoregon.edu/listen-learn-act
