WHERE DUCKS LIVE
UNIVERSITY HOUSING
KALAPUYA ILIHI
We acknowledge that we are here on the traditional Indigenous homeland of the Kalapuya people.
We share this living space with humility and respect for the Kalapuya homeland and for the Indigenous peoples who continue to live and thrive in what is now called the State of Oregon.
WHERE DUCKS LIVE
As a first-year student, living on campus sets you up for success. Pop in to a café for a snack and you’ll still make it to class on time. Change of plans? No problem—stop by your room, grab what you need, and you’re on your way.
Students who live on campus their first year earn better grades, stay in school in higher numbers, and graduate faster. Living on campus puts you in the middle of it all: fun, friends, food, and access to academic resources that will give you the best possible start to your college career.
New to the UO but not to higher ed? Transfer students are welcome to live on campus.

CAMPUS DINING
Whatever your mood, you can always find the fresh food you want. At 14 unique venues, you can choose from comfort foods, gourmet options, and international cuisines, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. When possible, we buy local and organic.
Point-based meal plans: Students can choose from four meal plans ranged from 50 to 95 points per week. Spend the points buying any combination of items you like.
An average day might look like this:
• Breakfast at DUX Bistro coffee and a bagel with cream cheese 2 points
• Lunch at Drake’s Deli Drake’s hot chicken sandwich with a side of kettle chips 4 points
• Dinner at Fresh! Marketcafé shrimp scampi with tomatoes; add focaccia bread and a fountain drink 5 points
• Add a piece of fruit, or a pint of milk, or a freshly baked cookie 1 point
Or choose the Carson–based meal plan, which gives students entry to Carson Dining (one of our 14 dining venues) any time it is open, plus five meal points per week. This is the most economical plan for students. Except for the meal points and Duck Bucks, this plan is only valid at Carson Dining.
All meal plans include $50 Duck Bucks per term.

LEARN TO LEAD CONNECT WITH US
University Housing offers students influential and meaningful leadership opportunities.
As live-in student leaders, Resident Assistants (RAs) help fellow students adjust to the residence halls, encouraging them in their social lives and their academic pursuits.
Members of the Residence Hall Association represent all residents by recommending policy changes to administration, collaborating with other student government groups, and creating fun events in the residence halls. Elected members of Hall Council advocate for hall improvements and programming. No experience needed to join!
Student employee leaders in dining, catering, and residence life train and provide direction to other student staff members. As the largest student employer on campus, housing and dining provides many students opportunities for advancement and leadership.
