3 Objectives: 1) provide training, guidance and assistance to test case teams. 2) provide venues and means to deliver research findings as decision-support tools.
3) undertake integrated modeling and assessments across regions to better understand why different communities have different adaptive capacities.
Summarized into 3 major research questions: 1. What measurable change can be identified? 2. What perceptions of change exist within the communities? 3. How does perceived change compare to measured change and how does this relate to adaptive response?
A few approaches we are considering 1. Social networks and key individuals 2. Comparing integrative social and natural science research approaches
3. Case studies of local adaptive capacity 4. Conditions for operationalizing community adaptive capacity indices
