Rosalee Bertram is hoping to help build a tiny satellite that she and other UAF students can have launched into space. “They’re training me to create circuit boards and code,” the freshman electrical engineering major said. Bertram, who grew up in Fairbanks, said UAF’s Engineering Learning and Innovation Facility impressed her during an open house visit. “I fell in love with this building,” she said. The state-of-the-art facility, along with several scholarships, convinced her to attend UAF.
