Apartment-style accommodation

Living in halls of residence is one of the best ways to meet new people and settle into university life. You’ll be sharing apartment-style housing with other study abroad students and live in a close-knit community with University of Brighton students. The halls are managed by us which means that they meet our standards. • All rooms are ensuite. • There are three to eight rooms per apartment with shared kitchen and living area. • Broadband and utilities are included. • Cleaning of communal areas is included. • 24-hour staff cover. • On-site support from student residential advisers. • Located on our Falmer campus. The study abroad office is also located on the Falmer campus so we’re on hand if you need to talk to one of the team about anything.

Student Residential Advisers

Student Residential Advisers (SRAs) are senior students who live and work in the halls. They provide student-to-student support and regularly visit your halls to check on your wellbeing. SRAs work on a call-out and rota basis and are available if you’re feeling homesick or lonely. They also help to organise and run social activities, creating opportunities for you to meet other students and get involved in university social life.

Campus facilities

Falmer enjoys a welcoming and sociable environment with facilities including a library, restaurant, café, shop and cashpoint facilities. The halls are just few minutes from the train station and bus stops, and there are fast and regular services into the city.

Halls of residence costs

The halls of residence housing contract is split between the spring and autumn semesters. Contracted dates are outlined in the table below. If your accommodation contract dates fall outside of your study programme, you are welcome to stay in the halls during that period.

The student accommodation has exceeded my expectations. The rooms here are the perfect size and having my own bathroom is such a refreshing touch. You have the experience of making friends with your flatmates in the common room but also have the privilege to have your privacy as well. I could live in this student accommodation for as long as possible, or until they kick me out!
