Researching the future

Last year, UCF received nearly $123 million in research funding. The Central Florida Research Park, adjacent to the main campus, is ranked as one of the top research parks in the nation. Living at UCF

UCF offers a variety of on-campus experiences for students, from traditional residential communities to full-fledged apartment living with single rooms, kitchens and living rooms. All provide resident services and include free Internet and access to laundry rooms. UCF also offers universityaffiliated housing adjacent to the campus. There are more than 10,000 beds in oncampus and university-affiliated housing, 80 percent of which are allocated to freshmen. The Burnett Honors College is the center of academic excellence at UCF. This limitedaccess college allows students to study within a community of student scholars, researching their favorite topics and conversing with internationally prominent professionals. Open to students of any major, the Honors program, of more than 1,600 students, creates the intimate atmosphere of a small, liberal arts college within a larger university. Be a leader

The LEAD Scholars Program is designed for students who want to develop their leadership skills. This two-year program is the only one of its kind in Florida, and is nationally recognized by the Templeton Foundation and by Florida Leader magazine. Athletics at UCF UCF may be the only university to open two new venues in a single year. And that’s just what we did in 2007— a 10,000-seat arena for basketball games and the 45,000seat Bright House Networks Stadium, home to the UCF Knights football team. The UCF Knights women’s basketball team and the men’s golf team captured Conference USA Championships in 2009. UCF is also the home of an All-Conference USA women’s golfer—as well as the Conference USA Player of the Year from our men’s basketball team. We’re committed to bringing our students, alumni, friends and neighbors together to celebrate long-held traditions and to create new ones.
