Welcome to

Student Clinical Program

. Students provide treatment under supervision of licensed faculty dentists

. You must be screened and accepted into the

center Faculty Practice

Your First Visit

Depending on the difficulty of your case and/or preference, you may be treated by a staff or faculty dentist. Patients treated in faculty practice will have different fees for services, which are comparable to private practice.

At your first visit you will receive a complimentary oral evaluation to determine the level of difficulty of your case and which clinic will best be able to provide your treatment needs. In some cases you may not be accepted into the teaching program and receive a referral to another treatment facility.

Patient-Centered Care

If accepted as a patient, x-rays will be ordered and may be taken at this initial visit. If you have current digital x-rays from another source you may bring them with you on a disc.

Together, we share the responsibility for your oral health. We will help you with regular cleanings and completion of follow-up treatment. Emergency care is available to all patients between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on a walk-in basis, space permitting. For those patients receiving active treatment, after hours emergency care is offered.

student clinical program

. Due to the educational nature of the clinic, it

will take longer to complete procedures. Expect to spend two-three hours for each appointment twice per month, every month until treatment is completed

. Fees for services are generally 30% to 50% less than the fees found in a private practice

. Most dental insurance plans are accepted, including Medicaid

. You will be responsible for any portion of the fee your dental insurance does not pay

Please note: *A parent or guardian must remain in the clinic building for the treatment of a minor under age 18 *Children may not stay in the reception area unattended

We will provide a treatment plan which will estimate out of pocket costs before beginning any procedures.
