As a postgraduate starting this academic year, it is never too early to start thinking about your career. Whatever stage you are in your planning, the Career Zone offers everything you need to succeed, providing you with support from the moment you arrive until you find employment and beyond.

The Careers Zone platform is your one-stop portal to careers and enterprises services, preparing you for career success. Your integrated Career Passport is a repository to store career activity and achievements both inside and outside the classroom. Visit one of the Career Zone spaces on each of the campuses to get advice and connect with our industry partners for networking, collaboration and co-creation.

How can Career Zones support you?

Plan your career Your Career Development Plan provides step-by-step career planning guidance, helping you to identify your skills and strengths and set long and short-term goals to ensure you stay on track.

Boost your career The East London Edge Programme offers you the chance to gain career enhancing experience to ensure you stand out from the crowd. This includes volunteering and community engagement, work experience, enterprise activity, clubs and societies, online learning and much more.

Get prepared Prepare for your career by accessing 1-2-1 Career Coaching sessions, employer events, careers workshops, professional mentoring and support with becoming selfemployed or starting your own business.

Get a job Search our regularly updated Career Zone Jobs Board for internships, placements, part-time work and graduate roles. For freelancing opportunities, create your profile on our new East London Talent freelancers’ marketplace, where you can sell your skills or products online. Register with Randstad, our on-campus agency, for paid temporary work on-campus.
