During my first month in Exeter, A Students’ Guild with over 200 societies covering a wide range of interests, including the International Student Society, academic societies I cooked, found my way around the city, and recreational societies and learned to organise my schedule. With over 50 sporting societies and consistent high performance in the I also learned the importance of asking BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) league, the University questions when I wasn’t sure of the was named The Times and The Sunday Times ‘Sports University of the Year 2016’ www.exeter.ac.uk/sport answer. In the city of Exeter, there are lots of green areas and cycling is a good option to spend your free time. You can visit Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Roman City Walls and the Cathedral if you like historical places and museums. There are bars and restaurants to enjoy and chill with your friends in the night. On campus there are lots of places on campus which serve delicious food. I admit that the city is quite small especially if you are coming from big crowded cities like Istanbul, but Exeter is peaceful and not boring.

There are lots of great aspects of studying at Exeter. In my first year, all of my lecturers and tutors were very helpful while I was settling into university life. I had guidance from my tutors and lecturers for all of my course works and module choices. By means of academic life one of the things I really enjoy is the variety of resources in the library of the university. I also appreciate having the chance to combine modules from different departments. For example I’m studying Spanish alongside my main subject of International Relations. I find it fascinating to have the ability to learn a language during my undergraduate degree. Deniz Boyacilar, BA International Relations

I’m studying hard at university so I can easily find a job when I graduate. My plan is to work at a company for a couple of years after graduating, then establish my own creative media company. Studying at the University of Exeter is the best decision I have taken in my life. If you don’t mind a challenge and you are self-confident, don’t even hesitate – accept your offer!
