INTERNATIONAL STUDENT WELCOME PROGRAMME 2019

WELCOME A WARM WELCOME TO ALL NON-UK STUDENTS STUDYING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF EXETER IN CORNWALL Our programme of events will help you with practical and fun information to help you quickly settle into campus life, and your new life in Cornwall. Most events are free, and some marked with a * are repeated throughout the week, so you only need to attend once. We know there's lots going on during Freshers' Week! It is important that you prioritise Academic Induction events in your timetable, and International Student Clearance. Having trouble registering on your course? International Student Clearance is compulsory for all International fee-paying students. EU students do not need to attend.

Study in the UK Tips and advice for studying in the UK and the services and support available to you throughout your studies. 2pm - 3:30pm @ Exchange Blue

Settle In Sunday & Global Chums Meet Your Mentor Introductions from support services for all overseas students, and a chance to meet other new students from around the world. Meet your Global Chums Mentor or sign up for a mentor. Free refreshments too! 4pm-6pm @ the Sports Centre

16 September The Students' Union Pasty and a Pint A relaxed opportunity to meet new people from around the world, while enjoying Cornish food and drinks. The FXU Presidents will be talking about British culture & tips. 4pm - 6pm @ AMATA. Book a ticket at thesu.org.uk/international

Be welcomed to the University of Exeter, meet other PG students and enjoy a welcome drink, 2 course dinner with tea/coffee. 7pm @ DDM £10. Must be booked online.

International trip: St Ives Visit this most special of Cornish towns. Spend the afternoon in the local cafes and shops, wandering the narrow streets, or viewing art in the Tate St Ives and other galleries. 12:30pm - 7pm £8. Spaces are limited, book online at thesu.org.uk/stives
