OPEN DAYS OCTOBER 2016 STREATHAM CAMPUS: 09:30 – 16:30 ST LUKE’S CAMPUS: 09:30 – 15:30

WELCOME TO THE UNIVERSITY OF EXETER OPEN DAY The University of Exeter is a member of the Russell Group and is ranked 7th in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2015. We are 93rd in the 2015/16 Times Higher Education World University Rankings and over 95% of our first degree graduates were in employment or further study six months after graduation according to the Destination of Leavers from Higher Education survey 2013/14. We are committed from day one of your degree to helping you build the right skills to develop a successful career. That support extends throughout your studies and even after you graduate.

Making the most of your visit Our Open Day is designed to help you find out more about the University and decide if Exeter is the university for you. The day is packed with opportunities for you to see a range of facilities, meet staff and students and experience the atmosphere of the University for yourself. There are two campuses in Exeter: Streatham and St Luke’s. Please check which campus your activities will take place on. The symbol (SL) indicates activities on St Luke’s Campus. There are general information marquees on the Streatham and St Luke’s campuses where staff will be more than happy to deal with any enquiries. Student marshals, wearing yellow t-shirts, can be found across the campuses and will answer any questions you may have.

This brochure outlines all the activities and presentations on offer, enabling you to select and prioritise the ones you would like to attend. You may like to use the table on the back cover to plan your day. The maps on pages 14-16 indicate the main buildings on the campuses to help you find your way around. You may like to take a campus tour to help orientate yourself (see page 6).

Download the mobile application You can also download our iExeter mobile app if you have an Apple or Android smartphone. This will give you full access to all of the information about the day and provides an interactive day planner so you can plan your day according to your interests. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store, or you can access a web version for other internet-enabled devices at i.exeter.ac.uk

Wi-Fi access During the day, you will be able to connect to free Wi-Fi. We have made the process of connecting extremely simple and you need only search for and select ‘OpenDayWiFi’ from the available connections and choose from a selection of quick and easy steps to register and get online.

We have a range of accommodation styles, standards and budgets to suit your needs. The different types of rooms are: • Standard – most rooms include a washbasin with shared bathroom facilities • En-suite – rooms have a private shower, washbasin and toilet • Studio – consists of one room which provides open-plan living space including small kitchenette and en-suite facilities As well as viewing accommodation, you can visit the dining room at Lopes Hall where information will be available about our catered meal provision.
