MSC INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT
The gateway to your new career
MSc INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT
The MSc International Management is a catalyst degree programme - designed to boost you in a career in business and management by providing you with all the skills, knowledge and insight necessary to succeed anywhere in the world. Whilst it is ideal for those already with a business degree, the MSc International Management programme is particularly relevant for those from non-business related backgrounds looking to add incisive business education to their undergraduate degree specialism. The programme focusses very much on your career in business and management. From day one of the programme, you will be encouraged to think strategically about your future – with our three-day Careers Camp in Induction Week specifically designed to help you to think about your aspirations. With a dedicated careers support team, careers coaches and regular career-focussed events, corporate speakers and links with the business world, we are best-placed to launch your successful professional career. The MSc International Management is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute. Every successful graduate on the programme will automatically receive an additional professional qualification – a Level 7 Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership. Alongside your master’s degree, this means that you will stand out from the competition when it comes to employability, gaining entry to exclusive CMI networking events and access to the CMI’s employability and library resources.
An International Student Experience
The MSc International Management cohort is truly multinational, with typically around 25 nationalities represented on the programme. You will learn first-hand how different cultures can approach the same challenge from a variety of different perspectives, each bringing their own unique expertise to arrive at the solution. This international experience will enhance your personal learning and, in time, your peers will form part of your future network, enabling you to secure contacts across the continents.
Spending a semester at any of these institutions will add an extra dimension to your MSc experience. We also offer our students the opportunity to spend between 2 – 6 weeks abroad at one of our partner universities on a Summer School experience, where fees are often waived or discounted for Exeter students. Whatever options you choose, we will ensure you will leave the programme with a new found confidence and expertise in international management that will enable you to build a successful and sustainable career for the future.

“Studying the MSc International Management at Exeter has helped me to develop – amongst other things - a new maturity. At this level, you no longer play the role of student to the teacher in the classroom. Rather, you and your peers are fellow workers operating together to achieve a common success. This creates a whole new working dynamic and provides the confidence which will enable you to walk into a workplace as a qualified professional, rather than merely a graduate or an intern." “I am so glad that I applied to the MSc IM - one of the best decisions I have made. The programme has been the perfect stepping stone from my geography undergraduate degree into the world of business management. What I love about this course is that it makes you think ‘big’ with the concepts discussed tackling themes such as the management of large scale multi-national corporations. All lecturers and members of staff are very supportive and take a real interest in your development, which builds self-confidence before entering the ‘real world."
